According to an article by registered dietician Cynthia Sass, eating more fruits and vegetables is “the most powerful and important way to fight aging” and can reduce your risk of stroke, cardiovascular disease, cancer, type 2 diabetes and obesity significantly. Sass says, “Numerous studies also link a higher veggie intake to a reduced risk of stroke, cardiovascular disease, cancer, type 2 diabetes and obesity.”

Now this is not new information at all. Scientists, researchers, and nutritionists have been saying for years that eating more fruits and vegetables is not only important, but necessary to living a healthy life without suffering from chronic diseases such as stroke, cardiovascular disease, cancer, and diabetes.
