Huge study boosts disappointment on multivitamins

March 5, 2009

Another study was just recently published showing that fragmented, isolated vitamin supplements do not reduce risk for cancer or heart disease. As Dr. Richard Dubois says, “the science is now very complete and very compelling that vitamin supplements do not (except in rare circumstances) prevent disease or reduce aging.”

On the other hand, there are literally thousands of studies (Here’s just one of them) showing that fruits and vegetables reduce your risk for heart disease, cancer, and “ALL-CAUSE MORTALITY.” That means the more fruits and vegetables you eat, the less likely you are to die. Period. Forget your vitamin supplements (unless recommended by a physician to treat a specific disease), eat some more fruits and vegetables and live a longer, healthier life.
