3 Home Remedies To Get Rid Of Yeast Infections

Yeast infections are extremely common in men, women, and children alike. Oftentimes, these infections can go away on their own, thanks to the body’s natural defense system. When this infection is prolonged, however, the body may need a little help.

Men often report itching and flaking of the skin as a primary symptom of having a yeast infection. Women can experience similar symptoms, commonly under the breasts. Of course, women also experience symptoms of yeast infections in the genital area, usually a discolored discharge that may or may not be accompanied by a “yeasty” odor. Children, particularly infants, can suffer from oral thrush, where a milky film builds up inside the mouth that cannot be easily removed.

The good news? Home remedies can be very useful in treating yeast. Of course, be sure to talk to you doctor before using any home remedy.

Probiotics. Yeast is naturally occurring in and on the body. When yeast and bacteria experience an imbalance, a candida overgrowth can occur. Probiotics help to restore the balance the body needs to ward of yeast naturally. A paste can be made by breaking open probiotic tablets and mixing the contents with water. Then, apply topically to the skin. Some nursing mothers are able to treat oral thrush by taking probiotics on a regular basis. The probiotics transfer into the breast milk, and restore balance in the infant’s digestive tract.

Coconut oil. This oil is not only a powerful antifungal, but it also has antibacterial properties. This is an especially useful remedy for women wondering if they have yeast infection, or bacterial vaginosis: coconut oil can be used to ward off both of these common infections. It also works wonders when applied topically to the skin of both men and women. This oil absorbs into the skin quickly, and is less likely to leave a residue than other cooking oils.

Dietary changes. Do you find yourself craving sugar, alcohol, and carbohydrates often? If this is the case, candida may have spread into the body from the digestive tract. Dietary changes are a must for alleviating yeast inside the body, particularly when the sufferer is experiencing reoccurring infections.  Stick to health food items like fruits, vegetables, and meats. Avoid carbohydrate-rich foods.

Besides the caring tone the author has written the book in, the advice is extremely useful. I have noticed that a lot of the comparable diets are way too strict to follow, nearly impossible. This book shows you the ins and outs, and most importantly, how to stay on track and conquer yeast once and for all.
